  • OpenJDK is upgraded to java-17-openJDK
  • internal RPM packahe database in the Fedora system is locatec under /var today, in version 36 in moved to /usr. The primary reason is consistency with other RPM-based distributions such as openSUSE and Fedora rpm-ostree based systems (Kinoite, Silverblue, etc.)
  • if you are installing Fedora 36 on NVIDIA based system, you get a Wayland as default with open-source nouveau and Xorg session as an option on the login page
  • the Anaconda installer GUI now selects the option by default
